Snow falls. Here's a
scattering at the Scilly Isles on 13 Jan 79. RF502 on
the 218 to Staines has been caught by
RF437 on a short to Esher.

What's new
Central Area RF operations
The site contains details of the operations of red RFs by
London Transport, 1952 to 1979 - see
Red RF
routes. More detail is added periodically, and comments
and additional information are welcome, please
email. In addition, a brief
history of the RF class and some
background notes on
LT routes and other
operational matters are provided (including some
tips from a professional).
Red-RF events
In place of a Red-RF event in 2011,
we jointly organised the
Brooklands Running
Day. Previous events were the
Colindale Running Day in August 2010 and the
Battle of Britain weekend the following
month,
Kingston in 2009,
Worcester Park in 2008,
Carshalton in 2007 and
Hackney and
Harrow
in 2006. Each section has a photo gallery of the event.
This site is designed for Internet Explorer to be
displayed at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 (or higher).
If your screen is set at 800 x 600, many pages will not display
correctly. Currently there are some issues to be sorted out
for viewing in Firefox and Safari.
David Moore captured RLH23 at an earlier event,
Hackney 2006, here arriving at the Maryland
terminus of the 178.
