Red RF routes in order of introduction

52 LT Central Area routes altogether had RFs scheduled, including some whose numbers were reused and a couple that had two spells of RF operation.  Earlier routes were generally single-decked because of physical obstacles, whereas from 1965, RFs were usually introduced to provide one-man operation throughout or on certain days of the week.  As ever, if you spot any errors, please e-mail us.

Well-loaded RF430 in original condition - no doors, no trafficators, side route number plate - takes the tight turn at Jack Straws Castle before dropping down from Hampstead Heath to Golders Green.  The slipboard 'To and from Kenwood' is a small size, despite the 210 being the only route to provide a service.  Read Stuart Perry's memories of driving the 210 here.  Photo credit unknown
