Worcester Park 2008
Route 200
Route 200 served some rather smart areas to the west of
Wimbledon, and as a result of opposition by residents was
single-deck operated for many years. Started in the early 30s
as the 103, the 200 was extended from Raynes Park to 'West
Wimbledon' in 1936, a section replaced by the new RT-operated
286 in 1962. RTs finally arrived on
the 200 itself in 1965.
Back in the days when the
buses terminated at Coombe Lane Copse Hill, by
completing a U-turn at the junction, RF355 stands at West
Wimbledon in about 1955.

Timetable
On 10 August 2008, the 200 will operate a
half-hourly service over the original route between Wimbledon
Station and West Wimbledon, with some necessary adjustment north of
Raynes Park due to recent road engineering. As the turning
space at Copse Hill is no longer available, buses will continue to
New Malden Fountain for connections with other
services. Timetable attached.
